Dr. Mergenthaler GmbH & Co. KG has been carrying out research projects with leading partners from science and industry for over 30 years. A wide variety of methods and the highest quality technology are used. Just one example of this is the recent analysis of laser soldering processes with a 450nm ("blue") laser using several high-speed cameras. The soldering processes, which lasted around 2 seconds, were controlled with our LASCON® controller and documented with over 40,000 images each. The images were taken as part of a research project in collaboration with the Fraunhofer ILT in our laboratory in Neu-Ulm.
